Free Movies on the beach and at Ferry Park

A day on the beach, enjoying the sun, sand, and sparkling water, is the reason most of our guests come to our beautiful Cape Communities but there is so much more to see and do! We have worked hard to compile a comprehensive list of events in the area that will appeal to every age. Below are a few examples of the popular “Summer in Cape May” options. Nighttime on the Beach Adventure – Have you ever walked the beach at night when you are spending your summer in Cape May? This is a fun activity to meet a Nature Center Naturalist on the beach for an hour of ghost crab chasing! Learn about ghost crab habitats, how they move, and what they eat. Do you think you can catch one? Discover what other creatures are on the beach at night. Pre-registration is required Cost: $5 adults, $5 children ages 3-12, children under 3 free. Children may not participate without an adult. Pre-Registration required.

Cape May Concerts at Rotary ParkDid you know the City of Cape May offers free concerts every Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon from June 24th to Sept 11th? You can’t spend a summer in Cape May without enjoying some of the fun entertainment offered. Relax and listen to a free evening of music performed by a wide array of musical talent! Bring a blanket or beach chair as park bench seating is limited. 

West Cape May Farmers Market – Enjoying local produce offered every summer in Cape May is a must and that’s why the West Cape May Farmers Market is a favorite stop for many of our guests. Every Tuesday from the end of June to the end of August you can stop by to purchase local produce, herbs, fresh coffee, barbecue, seafood, kettle corn and more!

Lower Township and Cape May Fireworks – Summer in Cape May means fireworks on the beach!!! You have two nights of spectacular fireworks displays for your holiday enjoyment. Lower Township fireworks are set-off on a barge off the Emerson Ave beach on Sunday, July 3rd. Monday, July 4th is the Cape May fireworks extravaganza which you can enjoy along the beach in Cape May.

Family Movies on the Cape May Beach at Convention Hall and at Ferry Park – Every summer in Cape May outdoor movies attract lots of families to these free events. From July to the end of August you can enjoy an evening of family friendly movies. Bring your chair or a blanket and sit back to enjoy. Ferry Park Movies are Monday evenings at 8:00 pm. Cape May Movies on the Beach are every Thursday at dusk on the beach by the Cape May Convention Hall.
