Exit Zero Jazz Festival David O Clemans Second Line Parade

The spirit of the second line from New Orleans has been brought to Cape May during the Exit Zero Jazz Festival. 

Along the Washington Street Mall musicians from the festival step out of the traditional venues and onto the street, turning the whole area into a moving performance.  You become part of the performance walking, dancing and grooving alongside the bands as they parade through the mall.

The Spring Exit Zero Jazz Festival will take place in Cape May, May 15-17. International touring artists will be performing on the festival main stage in Cape May Convention Hall and various outdoor stages, bars and clubs around town. This festival is known for the discovery of incredible music from artists and musicians you may have never known existed.

Stairway To the Stars Lighthouse Climb

Cape May Point State Park, 215 Lighthouse Ave Starts: 8:00PM | Ends: 10:00PM

Climb the 199 steps to the top of the Cape May Point Lighthouse on evenings of the new moon and the start of a new 29.5 day lunar cycle, when the moon is so dark it blends with the night sky and is invisible to the naked eye.  Stars and constellations are more visible on clear nights during the New Moon!  Binoculars are permitted if securely worn at all times.
