Great Vacation House

Our family had a wonderful two weeks at 427 Second Avenue. We love West Cape May and the location of the house was perfect: easy walking distance from the Bird Sanctuary trails, from the shops and restaurants of West Cape May,and a very quick (less than 5 minute) drive to our favorite beach. The house is incredibly spacious, comfortable and airy, with lots of rooms for both individual and group relaxation, games, work, movie watching, and meals. Visits from family and friends were easy to manage with so many rooms in which to spread out. The beds were comfortable, there was lots of natural light, and the kitchen had all the pots, pans and dishware we needed for our stay - and we cook a lot. Also, there were tons and tons of cleaning supplies, especially helpful during COVID, and the owners generously supply toilet paper and paper towels. Although it was too hot and muggy to sit outdoors much of our time there (very thankful for the central AC!), when it was cool enough the porch was lovely and there were several decks on which to sit, with lots of outdoor furniture. A couple of the rooms - including the master suite - had either no curtains or only sheers, which may make it challenging for some to sleep past sunrise. We had one plumbing issue with a faulty toilet whose tank overflowed and created a small flood in a downstairs bathroom. Homestead staff was wonderfully responsive: cleaners arrived in less than 1 hour and a plumber within a couple of hours, and all were very apologetic and helpful. We would absolutely rent this house again, especially if we were hosting family and friends.

Bright, spacious and clean

Nice 3 bedroom/3 bath house. Very bright, spacious and clean. Extra large master bedroom on third floor with king-size bed.

Wonderful Time

Beautiful Home. Many rooms for togetherness or time apart. Enjoyed porch sitting and watching horse and buggy's going by. Very quiet, peaceful, and just a short ride to the beach.

Lovely Home

We have stayed at this house for the last 4 yrs. It is a lovely home and we have enjoyed our stays completely. It is the perfect "home away from home".

Great Rental

Really like this rental property-and all of the extras provided (toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc.). Nice layout, lots of interior furnishings/exterior, too. Deck space was excellent too.
