    Join Captain Bob and the crew of The Osprey for close-up looks at secretive rails, nesting Ospreys, migrant shorebirds, terns, gulls, herons and more. We explore the coastal saltmarsh of Cape May from Cape Island Creek to the Wildwoods and view the natural wonders of historic Cape May Harbor. The Osprey is a 37′ pontoon boat that has a comfortable enclosed cabin with large viewing windows, a front deck with a railing, and a restroom on board. Non-motorized wheelchair accessible.   • Cape Island Ocean Festival

    Nature Center of Cape May Starts: 10:00AM | Ends: 4:00PM

    This exciting celebration of the sea includes fun educational activities focused on the beauty and importance of the ocean and how we can all be good stewards of the sea. Festivities will include Harbor Safaris and Horseshoe Crab Labs, creative activities with various local non-profit organizations, short films and lectures, Ocean Friendly food trucks, and a selection of carefully curated local artists selling their ocean themed work. The festival will also include a Paddle and Pedal for a Purpose (a kayak and bike tour of cape island), an ocean-themed yoga practice, and a beach clean-up.

    Featuring back-to-back one act plays, “Double Play” starts with an exploration of the life of one of America’s most iconic baseball players in the new play “Becoming Satchel Paige”. After the seventh inning stretch, we present “Happy”, about a baseball fan who travels to Delray Beach to find “Happy” Haliday, a favorite baseball player from his youth, and to get his signature on a baseball…but what he really gets from “Happy” is priceless.
