SANTA’S TROLLEY RIDE will be held on Saturday evening, November 22 from 5:30-6 p.m., 6:15-6:45 p.m., 7:30-8 p.m., and 8:15-8:45 p.m., at the Physick Estate with Mrs. Claus reading stories and singing songs. Santa will be in the Carriage House after the ride to greet children.
In addition, there will be rides every Saturday from Nov. 29 through Dec. 20 during the day at 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., 1-1:30 p.m. and 2:15-2:45 p.m. All seats are $8. Tickets can be purchased at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth at Ocean Street or at the Physick Estate at 1048 Washington St. at the Carriage House or the Hill House Office. The CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY will be held on Saturday, November 22 at 6 p.m. on the grounds of Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St., with special guests, Santa Claus and Dr. Physick. Refreshments will be served. Guests may take a free self-guided tour of the Physick Estate from 6 to 8 p.m. Santa arrives at 7 p.m. to flip the switch and light the thousands of bulbs. There will be a great night of local musicians performing in BARRY’S GRAND OLE CHRISTMAS OPRY on Sunday, November 23 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. There will be Christmas songs, country songs and a touch of the original Opry with “Miss Minnie Pearl.” The night features Sheriff Barry Tischler, Ton Naglee, Jr., Roy Baker, Bernadette Matthews, Glenn McBrearty, Jimm Ross, Andy Reeves, Debra Donahue, Amy Hufana and Robin Hipple, Dan “Da Man” Tangalin, Patty Pellegrino, Blondage and Ric Rutherford and Rick Ferrante of the Cape May Diamonds. Dinner and Show (Dinner 4-7pm in West Cape May Borough Hall) – $30, just the show $20. Proceeds to benefit the West Cape May Christmas Parade.This is a popular event for locals and visitors, so tickets go fast!
Come enjoy an EVENING YULETIDE TOUR of Cape May’s beautiful Victorian homes decorated for Christmas. This HOLIDAY LIGHTS TROLLEY RIDE is followed by a guided tour of the first floor rooms of the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate, authentically decorated for a Victorian Christmas. Afterwards, there will be holiday refreshments in the Carriage House and you can visit the “An Old-Fashioned Christmas” exhibit. Tour takes place form 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. and 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday Nov. 28-29. It begins and ends at the Ocean Street trolley stop. Tickets can be purchased at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth at Ocean Street or at the Physick Estate at 1048 Washington St. at the Carriage House or the Hill House Office.
A member of the East Lynne Theater Company regales you with a Victorian holiday ghost tale as you ride through Cape May’s festively decorated Historic District on the GHOSTS OF CHRISTMAS PAST TROLLEY RIDE every Friday from November 28 through December 26. Advance reservations are strongly recommended by calling 609-884-5404 or 800-275-4278. Rides will be from 8-8:30 p.m. and 9-9:30 p.m. Tickets $12 adults; $7 children (ages 3-12). The LAMPLIGHTER CHRISTMAS TOUR is a self-guided evening tour of five of Cape May’s finest Bed and Breakfast Inns and private homes, specially decorated for the holidays. The tour will take place from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, November 29. Owners and innkeepers share their holiday spirit at each location. The tour includes a visit to the Carriage House Gallery at the Emlen Physick Estate where you can see “An Old-fashioned Christmas: Holiday Traditions through the Years” exhibit while enjoying warm beverages and traditional cookies.
You can enjoy BREAKFAST WITH SANTA on Saturday, November 29 from 8 to 11 a.m. Santa came all the way from the North Pole to be at Congress Hall in Cape May this year, and he can’t wait to see you at the breakfast buffet. Adults $15.95. Kids 4-12 $9.95. 3 & under free.
